Thinking outside the box.

The other day a few girlfriends and I got together for a little scrapping fun. This was the very first time that I had to come up with the project. To tell you the truth I was a little nervous, Creating ideas for me is hard. I love doing all sorts of crafts and wanted to do something with more then one purpose. So I decided to think out side the box a little. I like to clip out things from magazines that I like and give me inspiration. I keep all of these ideas in a binder called the Great Big Book of Everything. A while back I found a messanger bag with a photo tranfer. When I came across it I thought that since mothers day was coming why not make a tote. The girls seem to like the idea.

Each of us used an 8"X 8" square to make a scrapbook page. Once the pages were done, I transfered them on to fabric. Then attached them to the tote fronts and backs with a simple zig zag stitch. So the girls got two great projects out of this. Not only beautiful pages, but a tote as well. They came out truly awesome.
All of the paper that was uses was from The Angel company. You can see these collection in the Fall/Winter Inspiration catalogue
Amberley Grace collection can be found on page 22
Amelia collection can be found on page 102
Rustic Chic collection can be found on page 88
The Colorfast sew in ink jet fabric sheets can be found in Walmart or at http://www.junetaylor.com/.
--- FYI ----if you don't have an ink jet printer you can also take this to staples and they can copy it there, just ask them to copy it in mirror image. This will prevent your words from coming out backwards. (I learned that one the hard way)
